Fine Art Archival Prints - Giclée Print Standard
We hold a wide selection of fine art papers from gloss, semi-gloss, baryta to smooth and textured cotton papers.
The Fine Art Trade Guild refer to the BS lightfastness and quality standards for Fine Art Printing and act as 'trustee' for maintaining publicly accecible lists of all digital ink and paper combinations meeting these standards.   The list is available in the following link - https://www.fineart.co.uk/artsure-approved-materials.aspx.
As a 'Friend' of the Fine Art Trade Guild, I keep make a regular review of developments in fine art printing and maintain printing standards that conform to the FATG criterea for fine art printing.
A true Giclée print should be printed on paper of at least 250 GSM weight, printed on acid free paper and with minimal or no Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs).   The image should be printed using archival quality inks of a guaranteed colour standard.
Our Giclée quality prints are made using a 12 ink archival quality printing method and conform to or exceed the FATG Giclée printing standards.  We print using Canon imagePROGRAF 1000 printers using a Canon 'Lucia' ink set.
We offer an on-site consultation with the photographer or artist to understand their vision and how best to meet it with the various  products and printing styles.  To make a print that acurately reflects the the screen image can be a complex task.  We can provide advice on editing techniques to optimise print outcomes.   A small fee applies.
